Child Safety Standards

Meeting Spot is an adults-only service for finding people nearby with shared interests and making real-world plans. These are our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), published for our members and in accordance with Google Play’s child safety standards policy.

Adults only, by design

Meeting Spot is for adults 18 and older. Minors are not permitted to create accounts or use the service. Age is collected at signup and the 18+ rule is enforced by a database-level constraint and application logic — not just a checkbox. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed.

Zero tolerance for CSAE

We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation, absolutely and without exception. This includes any content or behavior that sexualizes, grooms, solicits, endangers, or exploits minors, on the service or through it. Violations result in immediate removal of content and permanent account termination.

Prevention built into the product

  • No public feed and no direct messaging between members at launch — interactions happen around structured, reportable plans.
  • Public locations are coarse by design; precise meeting points are visible only to confirmed attendees shortly before a plan.
  • Reporting and blocking ship with the core product, reachable within two taps from every profile, plan, and comment.
  • Blocking is immediate and mutually invisible.

Reporting and enforcement

Every member can report any profile, plan, or comment from inside the app. Reports that involve a minor are automatically classified at our highest severity with a one-hour response target. Reports are reviewed by our safety staff, who can remove content and warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts. All enforcement actions are recorded in an internal audit log. We comply with applicable child safety laws. When we become aware of apparent CSAM we act immediately: the material is removed, the account is terminated, and we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant law enforcement as required by law, preserving evidence as the law requires. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
